Preparing barberry
Pick over dried barberries (about  2 cups  zereshk), wash and rinse a few times and soak in cool water for one hour.Then, Drain

Place a  full tablespoon of butter in a small saucepan, add zereshk to the pan, heat it up on a medium to low heat for 4-5 minutes

Add 2 or 3 tablespoons of sugar to balance the sour taste of zereshk (if you prefer a more sweet taste, add more sugar to the mixture). Add pistachio and mix thoroughly

You can apply this Zereshk for some other recipes like : Zereshk polo , garnishing Tah chin , Morasa polo : Jwelery Rice with some dried pistachio , almonds, etc
